Blood flow measurements / Doppler

Doppler tells how fast and in which direction the blood flows, and whether it is small or large vascular resistance.

For example, pregnant women have slightly increased risk of preeclampsia and the growth of the fetus can be reduced by high resistance in the uterine vessels at 24 weeks. With affected blood flow in the uterine vessels at 24 weeks of pregnancy, the mothers are then referred to Rikshospitalet.
